christmas time...

well its really with us - christmas. its funny how for so long christmas is a distant memory from the past of something that is way off in the future. but now its here! this time in two weeks it will be over! for me this is a lot like our faith / that is, its something that is off in the future or was a past experience. what chrismtas reminds me of is the fact that Jesus is here NOW with us. we dont' have to wait but we can connect with him all the time. i suppose this is really the meaning of Immanuel - God with us. not just a Christmas phenominan (how do you spell that word??) but a true reality all through the year.
